When they teamed in the AWA I'd say Scott Hall by Hennig.

At that time Hall was actually the bigger star cause Hennig was just getting started... talent wise they were probably pretty equal... I thought Hall was a pretty good wrestler who got screwed because of bad choices... Hennig at least won the AWA World championship.

What are you talking about ? When they teamed up in 1985 Curt was the veteran of the team having been a pro and worked in the WWWF as well as haviing a prior run in te AWA years before. That's why they put Hall with Hennig, to learn. Scott wasn't a star yet, they had him doing a lame "Magnum" Scott Hall deal complete with a big gooffy stash.

Talent wise Curt was so much better in th ring, it wasn't even close !

Not arguing that Hennig was MUCH better, but how does being a jobber in WWF make you a "veteran" of the team?

He also worked in Portland in 1983 as a main eventer in that territory and had come back and was being pushed in the AWA back in 1984 teaming with his dad in a headlining feud with the Road Warriors before the 2 were put together in 1985. He had alreay been in the business a little over 5 years when they started teaming up and Scott was put with Curt to learn as much as anything else.
